Search and Destroy

STRATEGY:

Welcome to the Mexican border Ghost team. You will spearhead a critical operation in the area of Juarez, in order to locate and neutralize an unidentified warfare package, possibly a dirty bomb or biologicals. Intel says the rebels are awaiting additional hardware from Panama and may then be able to threaten the U.S. The situation is critical after yesterdays coup attempt in Mexico City, and the president has promised to withdraw all U.S. forces in Mexico. That's why we can't afford to have you official on this one, Mitchell, so you are going dark until the situation is under control.

TACTICAL:

First step of this Op is to isolate rebel forces in Juarez. Intel has located three enemy positions. A rebel outpost, a supply base and a reinforcement camp. You will insert in the mountains and punch a hole through the enemy lines, cleaning-up the local forces at the outpost and cutting Juarez from any new rebel reinforcements by blowing up the bridge. You will also look for any artillery that could threaten our air support or ground troops in the future deployment in Juarez. We will send in Blackhawk 5 to clear out the supply base after the area is secured.

OBJECTIVES:

1. Locate Rebel Outpost
There are enemy forces controlling the bridge and nearby crossroads. Locate their main outpost and transmit the coordinates.
2. Eliminate Outpost
Take out all heavy support and snipers controlling the road and then clear out all rebels guarding the perimeter
3. Destroy Enemy Artillery
Intel has located enemy artillery firing at allied support in Juaréz from this position. Locate and destroy all far support in the area before advancing
4. Destroy the Bridge
Destroying the bridge will cut off all rebel reinforcements into Juaréz for atleast 24 hours. After completing this objective Blackhawk 5 will get a green light on taking out the enemy support base.
5. Proceed to the next Target
Proceed to the reinforcement camp and eliminate it. It's located in an abandoned quarry northeast of your current position. Head there by foot to avoid detection.

INSERTIONS:

Blackhawk 5 will enter through the canyon, below enemy radar and drop down close to a deserted village.
Insertion A: Road
Ghosts will be inserted safely on the road.
Insertion B: Cliff
Ghosts will be inserted near the village, closer to enemy forces.

TIPS:

Enemy vehicle convoys pass frequently through the area and local patrols seem to be on the move at all times. This is where it all begins, so stay sharp and watch your back.

Recon in Force
Recon in Force

STRATEGY:

Rebels are still getting additional reinforcements from the mountain and U.S. assets in Mexico are under pressure from artillery bombardments. We need to hurry up and get this Op done before things spin out of control.

TACTICAL:

This will end the preemptive stage of our operation. Ghost team will clean up the old quarry from rebel forces and destroy artillery pieces that could endanger our progress. Finish off the main threats and we'll insert stationery troops to keep the area so you can rush to Juarez. Blackhawk 5 is returning from the elimination of the support base and will extract you when this stage of the operation is completed. Assume that the rebels have been alerted from the attack of the outpost.

OBJECTIVES:

1. Take over the Entrance
Intel reports that the entrance and access roads are guarded by smaller patrols. Take them out and secure the entrance to trap the remaining forces inside the quarry.
2. Wait for Reinforcements
When the entrance is secured, Blackhawk 9 will insert supporting forces ordered to hold the entrance area.
3. Clear the Camp
Your main target is to eliminate the artillery support inside the quarry, along with anti-air support, enemy snipers and the main guard patrols. Enabling US forces to take control of the area.
4. Secure Extraction point
Check and secure the extraction area. Blackhawk 5 is standing by south of your position.

INSERTIONS:

Insertion A:
Reach the Quarry's main entrance by foot

TIPS:

Two rebel convoys have been spotted on a mountain road north east of your position and preliminaries are that they are heading for the reinforcement camp. The main camps in the Juaréz mountains have been cut off or destroyed, but smaller camps and forces nearby might be alerted during your assault.

Welcome to Juaréz
Welcome to Juaréz

STRATEGY:

The situation is turning into a geopolitical dead-end. We now have Intel about what the rebels are planning. Stolen Pakistani missiles and Ukranian warheads are what we're up against. The rebel leader De La Barrera is denying us any chance to solve this crisis the diplomatic way. The U.S. will honor the alliance with the legal Mexican government even if that means risking a war.

TACTICAL:

Ghost team will link-up with Mexican loyalist forces under the command of Colonel Jimenez. Our allies are under heavy pressure and your task is to grant them enough support to take over the city from the rebels so we can chase this nuke. Your objective will be to eliminate two rebel checkpoints and a nearby camp in order to force the rebels into a strategical weakpoint. After that it's time to eliminate the main rebel forces in this region and open up a secure corridor straight into Juaréz. Colonel Jimenez only has a few loyalist patrols in the area, with the main allied force trapped further into the city.

OBJECTIVES:

1. Assist Allied forces
Loyalist forces in the area are under heavy fire from rebel patrols. We have information that they have been forced to retreat into the local airport and are now trapped. Rebel tanks have reached the area and are holding the location.
2. Destroy Checkpoints
The area north of the airport is held by two rebel roadblocks and a supply camp. Intel will have the coordinates available for you when the airport is secured.
3. Take out Rebel Stronghold
The main enemy forces in the area seem to be gathering near a large shopping mall north of your insertion point. We have no clear confirmation on why this area is of strategical value to De La Barrera, but the zone is heavily fortified with guards, snipers and tanks.

INSERTIONS:

Insertion A:
City outskirts The helicopter will drop you at the city limits, close to the airport. Small rebel patrols guard a part of the area, so proceed with caution.

TIPS:

The southern outskirts has been controlled by rebel forces for the past 24 hours, so expect heavy fortifications and patrols all over the area. Stay sharp Ghost team, and don't take on more than you can handle.

Joining forces
Joining forces

STRATEGY:

De La Barrera got us in a bad position so we can't avoid engaging more assets in this battle. Strategic command is considering going public. In the meanwhile, the rebels have demonstrated how far they're willing to go, and our Mexican allies are still outnumbered. We have to strike hard and fast or we'll be totally out of control.

TACTICAL:

Colonel Jimenez and his men had to run before rebel forces, but we're getting close to cleaning the area. Ghost team will insert close to the train yard, assisting loyalist forces in combat by providing cover, so that the Colonel can reposition his troops. Dropzone is very hot and a fast and forceful engagement is vital for the operation's success.

OBJECTIVES:

1. Assist loyalist forces
Loyalists have engaged an enemy convoy between the train yard and the local cemetery. Enemy vehicles are surrounding the area, and Colonel Jimenez's men have taken cover in the ruins of an old police station. Provide cover for them and take out all hostiles.
2. Reach Allied reinforcements
U.S. forces have reached a loyalist group to the south west. We are coordinating our resources and will try to insert reinforcements close to your current position. Reach and cover their insertion point when notified.
3. Establish contact
Colonel Jimenez's men are currently on the move. As soon as they reach a safe position, you will receive their coordinates. They can help us with information about the rebel positions and the location of the nukes.

INSERTIONS:

Insertion A:
Train yard You will drop down close to the train yard, with an old urban area between you and the target coordinates. The position is ideal for flanking, but you must hurry to get to the loyalists in time.
Insertion B:
Direct drop The helicopter will take you in as close as it can get to the fighting forces. You will go straight into combat in this one team, so make sure your weapons are loaded.

TIPS:

You are closing in on Juaréz city center. It's a maze of abandoned enemy positions, ruined buildings and roadblocks. Expect enemy forces all over the area, and remember that you are behind enemy lines. We can't get far support close enough to your position, so you are on your own. Intel don't have clear information of the area so your mission objectives can change at any time.

The price of peace
The price of peace

STRATEGY:

At last we have joined-up with the Mexican loyalist forces, at great cost. Now begins the chase for that nuke. Thanks to Jimenez, we have may have a critical Intel source near your position. Washington is taking a lot of heat from the international community. They're asking for good news.

TACTICAL:

Ghost team will team-up with loyalist forces in order to secure a journalist who claims to have information about those stolen nukes. It's critical that you get to her before the rebels. This information comes straight from one of Jimenez's officers, now covering the journalist's location from surrounding enemies. The area is too far into the rebel controlled zone, so we can't provide you with any special support at this time.

OBJECTIVES:

1. Reach the square
The journalist is located on the far side of the square, near the local bull fighting arena. She has been barricaded inside the building with a small force of loyalists. The rest have taken up positions outside, covering all entry points. Take out the surrounding forces and set up a defensive perimeter around the target.
2. Cover emergency extraction
Jimenez's men have reported several Anti-Air positions close to their location. These, along with any additional incoming threat against either the extraction helicopter or the journalist herself, must be eliminated.
3. Reach extration point
Intel is looking for a secure extraction point for you. If the airspace is clear in the area, we will be able to send in a Blackhawk to get you out of there. Await coordinates for extraction when the journalist is safe.

INSERTIONS:

Insertion A: Back Alley
Jimenez's men will escort you to a safe place from where you can flank the enemy.
Insertion B: Main Street
The loyalists will drop you on the main street, facing enemy forces.

TIPS:

You and your team are now as far into the enemy hot zone as you can get. Expect enemies around every corner. Rebel tanks and personel transports are moving through the area, and many of the nearby forces are heading straight for the square. When you secure the area, expect intense enemy attacks from every direction. Watch yor back and stay alert.

The long walk
The long walk

STRATEGY:

Command is analyzing our new Intel. In the meanwhile, we have new problems with this U.S. pilot in enemy hands. It reminds us of dark times. Washington doesn't need to tell us that nobody's left behind. In the same time, we have a clue to get our hands on these nukes, at last. Juaréz has turned into a real warzone, and De La Barrera has managed to draw additional forces into the city.

TACTICAL:

Ghost team needs to be taken out of the hot zone and regroup. We have located an abandoned water treatment facility by the Rio Grande, ideal for an extraction. A helicopter is on it's way to pick you up and Jimenez's men will take you there.

OBJECTIVES:

1. Reach the extraction zone
The area is too rocky and unsecure for a helicopter, but we have located a platform on the roof of the main building inside the water treatment grounds. The extraction helicopter will set down there when you reach the area.

INSERTIONS:

Insertion A: Shanty road
The loyalist vehicles will transport you along the main road, going past the shanty hillside. You should reach the water treatment facility in less than five minutes. A helicopter will meet you there.

TIPS:

We don't have much time. The U.S. pilot can not be left behind and we need to find those nukes. The area you are approaching seems to be deserted but Intel have located old roadblocks and military equipment in the area.

Get me Rosen
Get me Rosen

STRATEGY:

The situation is getting FUBAR in Juaréz. Our Intel source confirms that the rebels have acquired missiles from Panama. At the same time, rebels intend to broadcast a video of Josh Rosen along with the remains of his Blackhawk within the hour. We must act fast. This is an improvised Op but it's critical for international stability and also for our morale.

TACTICAL:

You will be inserted in the mountains, near a hacienda owned by a known supporter of the rebel uprising. Your best chance is to sneak and operate silently, since we can't grant you support before it's too late. Get Lieutenant Rosen out of there, and destroy what's left of our helicopter.

OBJECTIVES:

1. Destroy Blackhawk remains
The Blackhawk was cut into pieces and hauled out of Juaréz at the back of two trucks. Locate the remains and destroy them. We can't let U.S. military material fall into the hands of our enemy. You have the option of using a remote C4 charge to take the wreck out after the extraction of Lieutenant Rosen. That could make you avoid detection during the rescue operation.
2. Evacuate Lt Rosen
Locate Lieutenant Rosen somewhere inside the hacienda grounds. His location is unknown, but we have Intel that he has been moved away from the main building. You must escort him to a safe extraction point and cover his evacuation.

INSERTIONS:

Insertion A: Deserted platau
You will be dropped down out of view, behind a large cliff formation. The area between the drop zone and the Hacienda grounds is full of rocks and abandoned buildings, ideal for a silent frontal approach.
Insertion B: Hacienda outskirts
The main entrance is heavily guarded and might be hard to approach. You will be inserted close to the mountain side in order to reach the smaller back entrance. This approach does not provide much cover, but less resistance.

TIPS:

This Op is as silent as it gets. Avoid raising the alarm or the guards might be able to call for reinforcements. Study the area and plan for a quick assault.

Attack on multiple axes
Attack on multiple axes

STRATEGY:

Your effort finally got us out of trouble for a while. We avoided enemy propaganda and we're now official with the NAJSA signed by both President Ballantine and President Ruiz Pena. We also have solid Intel on the nukes. We're launching a massive joint operation in the center of Juaréz and we expect you to get hold of these warheads.

TACTICAL:

You will lead Alpha team to secure the area while we deploy another Ghost team under Derrick Parker's command to defuse the nukes. The air is not secure and you will have to take out rebel positions and secure the target building in order for Parker's team to make the drop. We'll give you all the support we can but don't expect too much, we can't afford to wait for them.

OBJECTIVES:

1. Eliminate air threats
Two known Anti-Air positions have been located in the area. Both must be eliminated in order for Bravo team to insert at the target building.
2. Cover Bravo team
When the rebels see that we know of the nukes position they will probably launch a counter attack. You must keep all rebel forces away from the target area so Parker's team can locate and defuse the warheads.

INSERTIONS:

Insertion A: East insertion
An Anti-Air position has been located near a deserted side street. We will fly in low and drop you on the ground, in cover from the surrounding buildings.
Insertion B: West insertion
You will be dropped in a remote street far from RPG range of fire.

TIPS:

This is a hostile zone, but the rebels are trying to keep a low profile. They don't know we have found the location of their hidden nukes. We have to act with force in order to secure the region and cripple the enemy.

Codename Farallon
Codename Farallon

STRATEGY:

We have failed to secure the last nuke and strategic command is taking heat from Washington. Hopefully, we haven't lost track of the warhead and we have a good chance to take preemptive measures to protect our citizens. The target is a dam in Texas. Over five million U.S. citizens could be flooded if the rebels blow-up the place.

TACTICAL:

Ghost team will insert close to the dam and lead direct assault to secure the installations and find the nuke. The area is crawling with rebels so be ready for a very tough fight. Unfortunately, no support will be on location when you arrive, we're running short of time. The defusing team may also arrive too late, so we have provided you with an EMP remote bomb in case you have to fry down the warhead's electronics.

OBJECTIVES:

1. Secure the Entrance
The main entrance is fortified and well guarded. The area is very narrow and visible from the rest of the dam, so once you are in your presence will be known.
2. Secure the Power plant
The power plant is the main building and yard right before the dam. Cover the whole area and set up a defensive position towards the dam.
3. Secure the Generator chamber
One of the main chambers are located inside the maintenance complex inside the mountain. We fear that the enemy will try to sabotage the main generators, so you need to clean out the whole area.
4. Locate the nuke
Once the main positions have been secured, you must search the dam and the opposite buildings to see where the rebels have hidden the last nuke. Once found you are ordered to disable it with your EMP charge.

INSERTIONS:

Insertion A: Main road
The helicopter will take you in low along the canyon and drop you at the main road, south east of the facility.

The last stand
The last stand

STRATEGY:

We now have confirmation of the rebel's intentions to launch a warhead on the U.S. using one of these stolen missiles. Unfortunately, your last deployment let us fear that there might be weaknesses in our missile shield. We have sized down the possibilities for a launch site. Rebels have taken control of a U.S. Mexican border station and are literally crawling around. We still need you there to precisely locate the missile. Expect heavy enemy resistance, this is their last stand, and our darkest hour.

TACTICAL:

Ghost team will insert near the U.S. Mexican border and spearhead an offensive to retake the zone from the rebels. This will be a very tough fight but we have support en route and you might soon expect them to help you. Once you've regained domination of the area, thoroughly search it and locate the missile launch site. Godspeed Captain. Everything's on you now.

OBJECTIVES:

1. Secure U.S. border station
Rebels have reached and just taken control over the U.S. border station. You must strike them with great speed and reclaim U.S. ground.
2. Secure Mexican border station
Once the bridge is under our control, you must target and destroy all enemy forces holding the bridge head at the Mexican border station. Once this zone is controlled by U.S. forces, we can pull in all the reinforcements we need.
3. Locate missile launch bunker
Sattelite Intel hasn't been able to locate any moveable launch platforms, which leads us to the conclution that the warhead has been moved below ground. Colonel Jimenez informs us that there might be an underground facility near the border. You must locate this bunker and find the missile.

INSERTIONS:

Insertion A: The Bridge
You will come in low over the Rio Grande and insert on the U.S. side of the bridge. Abandoned cars and debri from the assault should provide you with enough cover for a surprise attack.

TIPS:

The rebels know we are near a victory here and reports tell us that all remaining enemy forces in Juaréz have been gathered and are massing a large offensive against the U.S. border. You must hold the area until the support arrives. This is where we strike back.
